boyfriend's new hobby cost me a bomb ! : raring AWOWANA !


it all started with just guppies , tetras & smiling cat fish .. in a tiny winny fishbowl ..


after all the guppies , tetras & smiling catfish died ,
we bought a 2ft tank with blue light .. there lives pufferfishes , 3 jiu jie long (a kind of dragon) & this funny looking shark .



pufferfishes died , got a red awowana that cost me $180 !


2 feet tank , but with pink light ..
added another 2 species , 2ghost fish & 2 terrapins ..


the 2ghost fish & shark didn't make it .. they died after arowana's attack .

and one week later , the dumb arowana (karma) jumped out of the tank and left the house .
i remembered i was freaking out when i cant find the arowana after searching high and low for it , called boyfriend and he kept laughing n ask me not to joke about it ..
felt a pinch on my heart , not because its dead but because its damn expensive !

boyfriend was distraught ! he asked me to keep the dead fish and wait till he come back from work . he looked at it and gave a loud sigh , blaming & blaming himself for not taking care of it properly .
he didn't talk much that day and im really surprised a fucking fish can make him feel this sad .
so , i promised him to buy him another one , which is a hugeeeeeeeeeee mistake !


just got a crossback gold arowana 2days before .. boyfriend took 2hours to choose and it cost me $500 !
$500 on a F.I.S.H that lives in the swamp


no more fishbowl , no more 2ft tank , its 4ft now with a cabinet , and its huge !
3 dragons moved over (live longest with us) together with 2 stingrays and a fei feng .. got a LED rainbow bubble as well , which make the tank so beautiful to look at , not forgetting the pink overhead light .


the next day , we head back to the fishfarm , wanted to get some filtration stuff & food for the arowana , ended up coming back with 2 huge ass parrot fish & a alligator .

the 2 parrot fish are a nuisance ! the bang the stingray , bang every fishes , and make a mess in the tank !
it moves my colorful plant , put the pebbles in its mouth and throw it out somewhere .. tho its irritating , i think its nice to look at , cos it makes me laugh , even my family members . boyfriend say he hope the stingray sting the 2 nuisance .. haha

spent a total of 1k in the farm on just the arowana , 2 stingray , 2 parrot fish , fei feng , alegator , food and some filtration stuff .

i told boyfriend this is the last time im gonna spend money on fishes for him , and if his arowana die within one yr , i will definitely fry and eat it . would really wanna taste the meat as im curious why it cost that much !


1k on the fishes (excluding tank) , i splurged additional $500 on supplements for boyfriend , his mum & myself and another $500 on PS3 ..



boyfriend is nice enough to buy me this super soft blanket from korea , been wanting to get it !
its so soft , feels like cotton candy . 1 for mummy , 1 for sis and 2 for myself .
im not greedy , boyfriend insisted i get 2 , one to leave it at home , 1 to bring it oversea .

dunno he's being nice or he is over the moon after getting that stupid fish of his ..

in between of the florist & ATM
$56 for 2 single . $30 for 1 .


just spent another $100 on 10boxes of popping !
arriving tml and i cant wait to lay my hands on it !

will play around and blog with pictures when im free .

and i just made payment for 7pairs of gorgeous heels all the way from japan .
will arrived in 2mths time . will definitely show it to you guys !

boyfriend's with me in Beijing again !
he's a happy boy but he's down with very bad sore throat & flu .


brought boyfriend to forbidden city .
i've been there before so hell no i will stay there for hours .
just brought him there to have a look and left within an hr .
9999 palaces and building in the forbidden city , never u can finish it .


we sat this metal can 3 wheels bike to town as its so hard to wait for cab , and the journey scare the shit out of him .
he was like " honey ! can u stop talking to me , i wanna concentrate on the road " ..
chey ! as if he can prevent any mishap as he's not the one driving .


brought boyfriend to xidan .
boyfriend supposed to be the lead tt day , as he hardly have the chance to shop in china , i told him to buy anything n whatever he wants , expenses all on me , ended up im the one who did the most purchases .
shopping in china caused boyfriend massive headache , he said .
its so crowded and noisy , ppl are bargaining everywhere .
he only bought a tee-shirt and some phone casing for his friends .




back to the hotel & put our stuff before we head off for dinner ..



had so much food & end up packing it back to the hotel .
before dinner , we walked passed carefour and bought sushi too.



bought rose seasalt from carefour ..
 

and had spa therapy ..


the very nx day , we head off to beijing zoo !

 



zoo was hugeeeee ! about 3 times bigger than singapore .. and not just the zoo , the animals as well !

and the aquariam in the north .






fishes are beautiful and big . they have lots of different breed as well .
but personally i prefer our underwater world , where by u just have to stand on the travelator and watch those fishes in the giant tank 180 degrees above u . the one in china u have to go up down left right . lots of walking .


boyfriend is a happy boy . dunno y he suddenly into fishes .

left the aquarium and head off to the west area ..


 

and pretty sakura in the zoo ..


have to pay extra 10yuan to see their national treasure , PANDA !


reach the zoo at 1pm only able to leave at 5pm . and we just see look go .
zoo really too big . need at least 6hrs there ..


left the zoo n head to the warehouse shopping centre sirectly opp the zoo .
things there are DIRT CHEAP .

took an hr train back , had a nice ramem before heading back to the hotel ..

brought boyfriend along to china with me , brought him to forbidden city & beijing zoo and spent lots of food ! will blog about it when i get back .

mr boyfriend followed me to Auckland again


cooked dinner for all of them . its my 1st time cooking !
of cos , with the assistance from tutu & rebecca .
food turn out great , so proud of myself !

spaghetti with steak with veg on the side & mash potato done by tutu .


melted brownie with maple walnut ice-cream &nacho chips with cream cheese for dessert .



the next day we woke up early & head off to waiheke island !

staying there for a short getaway is alright , but u will die in a long period of time .

buying a property , smacked right in front of this sea cost u NZD1milion . but its still cheaper than SG .

its been ages since i stepped out of home that early .

Singapore is simply gorgeous ! if only we have winter here !




had lunch at 鼎泰丰.
the shrimp with egg fried rice is so yum ! dont really like the xiao long pao tho .


and we went for the titanic exhibition .






boyfriend is Mr Ernest and I'm Mrs William for the day , both third class passengers ,
we had to look out the name under the "survivor/victim" chart .
too many names , gave up .. i think we are both the victims ..


exhibition was awesome . lots of reading tho .





exhibition ends on 29 April , i think .
so for those who are interested , get there quick !
entrance fee is SGD20 for Singaporean .

and had dinner with boyfriend's family , celebrating his dad's birthday !

his mom ordered too much food ! all of us went home bloated !



just got back home from temple .
went to offer offerings to ahgong&ahma .

hope they are all well up there ...
missing them much
